May 3, 2010

Energy seems low these days. I continue to exercise, but it's dropped a bit. I'm only working out 3-4 days a week for 30-45 minutes, mostly working on legs and stretching. I still go to PT every other week for an hour, and he continues to test and measure me. No changes in those areas. The strength and mass I gained 4-5 months ago remains, but I am not improving beyond that. Obviously, part of the reason is low energy, so I'm re-starting CoQ10 (200 mg/day)in hopes that will improve things. I've also had some stomach acid issues for the past two months which I'm sure contributed to the issue, but that's cleared up now so I expect to make some progress in the next 30 days.

  1. Hi Russ,
My name is Marisol, I'm 34 and I have FSH. At the moment I'm ok, I just can't rise my arms but feel ok.
My concern are my two kids, they're 4years old and 19 months old. I don't know yet if they have FSH and I'm in a waiting list for their blood testing (because of their health insurance)
I hope they don't inherit this disease but if they do, do you think that at this age the treatment can help stop the progress of the FSHD?
And how long do you think it will last?

I hope you have gained strenght and your acid issues are gone.
    Marisol

PS. Sorry for my bad English

  2. Marisol,

No, I do not think the treatment I received would stop the progression of FSH in your children. I'm not a doctor, but I don't think the treatment has that ability - at least not yet. Maybe it would slow it down, but its hard to say without actually doing it.

How long will it last? I have no idea. I spoke with MS patients who went through the same program and had what they considered to be positive results. These positive results were still with them almost three years later, so I remain hopeful.

  3. Hi Russ:

Have you tried Balance Effervescent Creatine? It's supposed to help muscle trainers retain their stamina through training.

  5. I know a hospital in mainland china which specialized in sterm cell treatment. ( Web site: http://jnzygxb.com/ ) (phone number: 400-816-7277) ( leave message: http://jnzygxb.com/guest/ or click the small square which have a phone logo ) This hospital uses sterm cells from umbilical cord tissue instead of umbilical cord blood in the treatment. And the effect would be better. As the amount of sterm cells are much higher than the one from the umbilical cord blood. Also, the sterm cells are more active. Hope this info can help you further.

  7. Hi Yeunique:

Just wondering if you've had stem cell treatment done there? Is it possible for me to get in touch with you?

    Thank you
